I genuinely regret your loss. I hope that in due time your family receives God's peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Rest assured that God cares for all his creatures and he would never bring us suffering. A soothing scripture I like is Psalm 34:18 which reads: "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." He promised that in the Paradise, we will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all problems, accidents, and sickness. Even our dead loved ones like Yvonne will be resurrected. (Psalm 37:9, 29; John 5:28, 29) With all my sympathy for the loss of someone so dear.
Dear Greg and Family, Tom and I were saddened to hear about your mother's death. It is difficult to loose someone so important in your life. Both Tom and I have lost our respective mothers and are very empathetic; we know that you hearts are breaking and there is much emotional distress happening at this moment. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with you. And we hope that your heavy hearts may find peace. Greg was a student of my mother's when he went to Woodland, and he always made me happy when he talked about his fondness for my mother, Elizabeth Gormandy. Tom and I did not know Yvonne, but we do know Greg is a man who goes out of his way to help people and always has kind words for others. This is the legacy that a parent want, that their children work hard and respect others. Tom and my family offers you our understanding and compassion at this your time of need, and I hope everyone takes the time they need to heal their broken hearts. I look forward to seeing Greg back at work, but not too soon. Sincerely, Rosemary Vamos & Tom Drowns (Greg's colleague at Westminster)
Dear Greg & family, our hearts are with you in this terribly sad difficult time...we wish you all strength as you all do your best to navigate through the minuets, hours, days dealing with such heartache...
I am very sorry to read of Yvonne's passing. I am thinking of you today and in the days ahead. Sincerely Jeff Webb
Dear Rich, Laura and Greg: You likely do not remember me as you were young children when I lived on Thorncrest Cres. My last name at the time was Judd and you might remember my children Michael Judd and Sheryl Judd Hagerman. I have such fond memories of your mom: exchanging recipes, coffee klatches, and most of all getting on our bicycles along with Marion Tomchuk and going through Greenway Park and into Springbank Gardens after our supper times. That's what I missed the most when we moved off Thorncrest in 1971. Also when catching up with her in recent years at the Kiwanis Line Dancing, I would remind her and thank her again for rounding up my two kids one evening when I was so sick with migraine that I couldn't lift my head! She was such a kind, neighbourly soul. I know you must be heartsick at losing your mother and I pray that the wonderful memories you three will share will warm your hearts throughout the years. I don't recall meeting your Dad but please offer him my sincere condolences. God bless - Ardyth Leitch
Dear Greg, Therese and Families I am so sorry to hear of your loss, my condolences to all of you at this difficult time. Cherish all your fond memories of your mother and may you have strength for the tough days ahead. With deepest sympathy. Monica and family
