Of London and formerly of Peterborough, on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 in her 102nd year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Henry Barnard (1987). Loving mother of Glee Barnard of London and Lynda “Faye” McCracken (William) of Michigan. Proud Nana of Molly McCracken (Vincent) of Virginia, Michael McCracken (Yeshe) of California, and Lynda Keim (Tony) of Michigan. Cherished great-Nana of Eleanor, Henry and Adelaide Meehan, and Audrey and Sean McCracken. A celebration of life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. An informal memorial luncheon will be held at Centreville Presbyterian Church Hall, 574 County Road 28, Bailieboro, on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. Private family interment of cremated remains will be held at Bailieboro United Cemetery. A special thanks to the staff on Red Oak Floor at peopleCare Oakcrossing for their loving and thoughtful care.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Wilma's passing . I have so many fond memories of our family gatherings . She had an infectious laugh and giggle that always brought joy. Our heart felt sympathy Elio and Cathy

I was so sorry to hear of Wilma's passing. She was the lady who got me started playing Duplicate Bridge in Peterborough. I have many fond memories of our partnership and missed her when she left Peterborough. My sincere condolences to her family.

We have fond memories of her & she was a good friend of my mother (Irene Clark now deceased 2009). A beautiful & gracious lady inside & out. Always a smile & well dressed. Dave and I send our sincere condolences to Faye and Glee and all of your family. I have so many fond memories of Wilma, starting when I was a young child. She always made me feel welcome and like part of the family. She was a vibrant, creative lady with a keen sense of humour who carried on her many hobbies well into her nineties. On her last visit to our home she proudly entered with a new perm, dressed beautifully as always. Wilma was a proud mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. I know you will long cherish special memories of her.

I am sure this is my "Mrs. Barnard" who taught me grade five at Queen Elizabeth School in Peterborough. I have never forgotten her all these years. She was a sweetheart of a teacher and one I have remembered quite fondly over the years. She was the most pivotal of all my grade school teachers. The comments that have been expressed here are fitting for the grand lady that she was. Her family can be extremely proud of the life she has lived. Sincere sympathy in a great loss to friends and family.

Wilma's love of family was always a dominating factor in her life. The love that was shared by her and her family was a loving inspiration to me as I cared for her at PeopleCare. She had many wonderful stories to share. She will be dearly missed. May God remind her family through little ways that He cares and will see them through this loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Wilma's passing. We were neighbors in Peterborough but most of all we were friends; we shared many dinners together (some to beautiful to eat...I'm sure Faye and Glee will remember the salad). She raised two wonderful ladies and my heartfelt condolences go out to them and the family. She will be truly missed and never forgotten.
