Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, Four Counties Wing, 4-Bruce, on Thursday, October 25, 2012 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Finlay and the late Bernice E. (Lacey) “Bunny” Finlay. Loving father of Nancy O’Neill (Douglas), John, James (Zorianna), Mary Anne Thornhill (Bill), Deborah Vanderwerf, and Terry Finlay (Darrell). Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Brother of Jack Finlay and predeceased by his sisters Bessie Finlay, Isabelle Marshall and Jean Saville. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at The Chapel of the Good Shepherd, Parkwood Hospital, 801 Commissioners Road East, London (please use parking lot 3), on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice. A big thank you to all the wonderful health care workers who took great loving care of Bill at 4-Bruce, his home over the last four years.

Uncle Bill and my mother, Isabelle Marshall were very close and had some wonderful times together. He had a great smile and pleasing personality - he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Joan and Michael Black, Halifax, N.S.
