Wayne Davis Gardiner

February 27, 2012

At London, Ontario, after a courageous battle with cancer, three days short of his 70th birthday on Monday, February 27th, 2012. Loving husband of Betty Anne (Pocock). Cherished father of Trevor Gardiner and his wife Rosanne who were with Dad every minute of his journey. Loving grandfather of Kyle and Tristan, his pride and joy. Dear brother of Sharon Battler and her husband Doug. Predeceased by his father Oswald (1960), his mother Margaret (2001), his brother Keith (1968) and his in-laws Albert (1961) and Elizabeth Pocock (2000). Dear brother-in-law of Lou Pocock, Mike (Vickie) Pocock and Gerry (Judith) Pocock. Wayne will be missed by his aunts, uncles and many cousins. Dear uncle of ten nieces and nephews and twelve great-nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend of Keith Vallee and the late Deryck Weber. Special thanks to the Hospice of London (and volunteer Norm McDowell), CCAC, staff of Palliative Care at Parkwood Hospital and Doctors Ferner and Singh. Especially thankful for the special care provided by Lindsay, Becky, P.J. and Pauline. Wayne enjoyed fishing and boating and loved the Lake Huron sunsets during his many summers at Ipperwash.
