Virginia Edwards
September 28, 2020
Peacefully in her sleep, after many years of health struggles, Virginia Edwards, born September 16, 1952. Dear sister of Sharon Edwards (Kevin), Alexandra Gow and Christene Scrimgeour (Rick). Predeceased by her parents, Alex Edwards and Marion Edwards Darling. Beloved aunt to Emily (Kyle), Ian (Shani), Jared (Shaina), Noah Scrimgeour, and Mackenzie Gow (Kylie). Stepsister to Jim (Joy), Jack (Ann), Joe (Diane), Jeff Darling and their families. Virginia loved horses and had a natural ability to train them. She never missed an opportunity to share her opinion, ensured that all family gatherings were never dull and was always a staunch liberal supporter. Our sincere appreciation to the many staff and volunteers at the Meals on Wheels London, City of London and LHIN programs who provided her with such good care and support. As per Virginia’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Virginia are asked to consider the Canadian Mental Health Association-Middlesex.

I was very sorry to hear of your loss. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Cathy
I am one of the Meals on Wheels volunteers who delivered to Virginia. She always greeted me with a smile and it was a pleasure to help her open her meals and have a chat with her. Rest in peace Virginia. I will miss seeing you each week.
My condolences to the Edwards Sisters and your families. Virginia always spoke with great pride and love for your children. Virginia was a huge influence to me in my 20's. We worked, socialized, skied and travelled together for many years. It was wonderful. Once she moved back to Ontario I was still able to see her. She would come visit my kids and I at my parent's farm. I am going to hold these wonderful memories close to my heart. Charlotte....
Sincere sympathy to the Edwards family on the passing of Ginny. I have many fond memories of swimming in Medway Creek, attending Arva United Church and going to S.S.#14 with the Edwards' girls while we all lived on the 7th concession.
My condolences to all the Edwards family. I was very sad to hear about Virginia troubles in her later years. She was such a beautiful young girl. I was a neighbour on Medway Road and went to school with the girls.
To the extended Edwards Family:: Please accept my condolences regarding Virginia's passing. I was a classmate of Viginia at Medway High School. I had not seen her in many years but the news of her death found me feeling as though I had seen her somehow, more recently. The passage of time sometimes bends these perceptions. Sympathy to Yo All, RB
I am so sad to hear this news. Ginny was such a good friend all through high school. We spent so much time together and regrettably, not as much time in the years following graduation. Sincere condolences to Sharon, Alex, Chrissy and their families. Although Ginny had her health struggles throughout most of her adult life, I will always remember the teenaged, fun-loving and very beautiful Virginia. Rest in peace dear friend. Bonnie
So very sad to hear this news. Though I had not seen Virginia in many years , the last being at a Medway Reunion 5 or 10 years back; so many high school & even public school memories surface. We were a very tight group of girlfriends through those years, enabling the ease for time to pass & then meet & feel like no time has passed. I especially remember early stays at the farm on 7 Mile Rd. & all the goings on in our young lives. The many weekends spent on Grandbend beach in our teens. She was a loyal, horsey friend who I will always remember. My condolences go out to the entire family at this time. RIP Virginia.
Our sincere sympathies to the all the Edwards/Darling families. Virginia will be missed by all you. Love and hugs Kareen and Bob xoxo
I'm one of the volunteers that delivered meals to Virginia. She always had a smile for me and I enjoyed our chats. I will miss her and my condolences to your family.
My full sympathy to family. I had the pleasure of knocking on Virginia's door every Tuesday for several years, with a hot meal from Meals On Wheels London. Greeted with a smile and offered extended thanks, each time, Virginia always had positive thoughts and seemed to make the best of every day and the world around her. It was a pleasure to have known her and helped in any way.
