Vicki Marie (née FitzSimons) Szemenyei
July 14, 2021
Peacefully at home, Vicki Szemenyei passed in her sleep. Loving and patient wife of Andy, for forty-four years. Mother of Bryan (Sarah) and Colin (Shannon), and the best Nana in the world to Owen and Graeme, whom she adored. She will be incredibly missed by her family, especially her mother-in-law, Maria, whom she called every day at 3:30 p.m. Loving sister-in-law of Peter and Debbie Szemenyei; aunt and great-aunt to her niece and nephews; and sister of Delaruss. Vicki will be greatly missed. She was a passionate hockey fan, always rooting for her Tampa Bay Lightning and London Knights, an avid golfer at the London Hunt and Country Club, and was the eternal hostess for dinner and cocktail parties. Vicki loved her winters in Florida at Innisbrook, renovating their home on Kingspark, and card nights with her girlfriends. The maker of Nana’s famous grilled cheese, she will be remembered for her laughter, her smile, her spirit, and her lava cakes. Vicki’s desire was to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at the London Hunt and Country Club, 1431 Oxford Street West, London on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., where family and friends are invited. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Vicki are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program, where she received exemplary care.
“I know one thing for sure I want to do.
I want to spend this life with you.
Only with You. Only with You.”
