GILBERT, Veronica (Meidinger) – Passed away peacefully at University Hospital, on Monday, April 29th, 2013 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Earl Gilbert. Mother of Dennis Bannon (Paula), Steven Bannon (Colleen), David Bannon (Mary-Ann), Dianne Ireland (Frank), Michael Bannon and the late Wilfred Bannon. Loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Anna Meidinger, sisters Geraldine Sopha and Sidonia Aubin, brother Delmar Meidinger, and brothers-in-law Ray Gilbert (Viola) and George Gilbert (Florence). Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at St. George’s Anglican Church, 227 Wharncliffe Road North, on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery, Tyrconnell. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Veronica are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Lung Association.

Veronica has been a part of our lives for many year's and was a g reat friend of my mother(Doreen)She will be missed.I am so sorry for your loss.

I was saddened to read of Veronica's passing but knew that her health was not good. I always enjoyed a visit with her. You will have many good memories of your time spent with your mom. Lila (Earl's cousin)
