When I think of Verna ( Mrs Thornton to me ) I alwys picture her with her little black dogs ,in the kitchen being busy as her daughter my best friend Denise and I would hang out ... She was a kind energetic lady who so impressed me as time went on ,never slowing down enjoying life ,a real roll model for sure . It was amazing really how she never changed ,I am smiling when I think of the number of conversations Dee and I had about this . in closing she will be so very missed by her family and anyone who was lucky enough to have known her .
I hope that in due time you receive God’s peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. As you know, God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Rest assured that he cares for all his creatures and he would never bring us suffering. A soothing scripture is Psalm 34:18 which reads: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Sincerely.
Dear Dee, David and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I only met her once and she seemed to be such a lovely lady. I realize how much she meant to you and want to express our deepest condolences to you and all of your family. Lot's of love Nora and David
