Valerie Rose Bowman (née Barnett)

With broken hearts, our Mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at LHSC-University Hospital, in her 93^rd year.  Valerie grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and married the love of her life, George Bowman, in 1950.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles George Bowman (2001); her parents, Sidney and Dorothy Barnett; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Muriel Bowman; brother, Jack Barnett; sister, Yvonne Barnett; brothers and sisters-in-law Mary Smith (Bowman), Larry Smith, James Bowman, David Bowman, Bert and Jeannie Bowman; son-in-law Gordon OQuinn; nephews, Andrew Bowman and Blair Bowman; and great-great-granddaughter, Clairabell OQuinn.

Survived and dearly missed by her children Yvonne Adams (Jeff), Valerie Allison (Stewart), Faith Hennessy (Mike), Patti Panzer (Pete) and David Bowman (Debbie). Precious Nana and Grandma to Valerie Adams (Chris), Danielle Cordell (Jeff), Jeff Adams (Erin), Kelly Quiqley (Russell), Jill Chromczak (Mike), Bonnie Tamasi (Mike), David Adams (Becky), Laurie OQuinn (Andrew), Terri Hennessy, Scott Allison, and Mark Allison (Eliot), twenty-two great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; Sisters-in-law Dolores Bowman (Winnipeg) and Annette Bowman (Brampton); and many nieces and nephews.

At Mom’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

We love and miss you dearly Mom, and you will be in our hearts for eternity!
