Peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, with family by his side, Mr. Tom Horn of London, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Cheryl (Bailey) Horn. Loving Dad of Lise (Craig) Crawford of Bracebridge and Suzanne Horn of Toronto. Proud Poppy of Ethan and Daniel. Lovingly remembered by Colin and James. Predeceased by his brother, Bob and by his sister, Barbara Alton. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tom was, for many years, an avid squash player and loved the game of golf. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at ST. AIDAN’S CHURCH, 1246 Oxford Street West, London, on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment of ashes at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Tom are asked to consider Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The loss of Tom Horn hits us incredibly hard. Having met Tom at age 22, we became great friends in so many pursuits involving fast pitch softball, squash racquets, music appreciation, family activities and just simply solid personal relationships. Tom was a very special person in so many ways. His great sense of humour, love of life, love of family and friends, personified him in sum total. The many, many wonderful times spent together as buddies and with our spouses are deeply ingrained and will never be forgotten. Our hearts go out to Cheryl, Lise, Suzanne and all the family. Farewell dear friend.

I met Tom as a young teenager at the Thistle Club. I ran into him many times on the singles court! He was a great competitor and I enjoyed our conversations off the court. I remember him speaking of his family so many times. He was always so kind to me, offering advice and guidance in many things. He was eighteen years my senior but always treated me as a friend. My sincere condolences to you Cheryl and your girls.

I always counted Tom as a great friend even though we did not see much of each other once you moved to London. We have many fond memories of trips to our cottage ,ski trips , "Monday Night Football" in our early days and activities at the Thistle Club. The picture that never leaves me is of Tom's passion for traditional Roast Beef dinners at home and the odd cigar.. and a deep love of his family.

Tom's grin and rapier wit always made a visit entertaining. Love this picture. Captures the spirit that was Tom. You couldn't put anything past him! All those family adventures when Lise and Suzanne were little, your skiing, golfing, listening to great jazz: great family times, great times with friends, so important to you both. I remember Tom's mentioning that not going into the office every day was a difficult change for him. Aside from his work and responsibilities, he missed most seeing the folks there , just the daily chit chat with colleagues. I'm so glad you folks got up to the cottage last Fall. Tom was a tenacious guy who was determined to get around even when it became obvious he couldn't. Frustrating for him. My sympathies to you Cheryl, to Lise and Suzanne and family. Tom sure got a kick out of Ethan and Daniel. He leaves a great legacy in family. Hard to realize it's time to say that final goodbye.
