We will sorely miss our dear friend of nearly sixty years.
My most sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Tom Mills. Some of my fondest public school memories were made thanks to his tireless dedication and devotion to his students. While at Byron Northview, he brought the love of music and theatre to life. Under his courageous and enthusiastic direction, he managed to guide the Grade 7 and 8 classes to discover the excitement and appreciation of performing live theatre. His love for music was infectious, and you would often hear music streaming from his classroom before and after school as he toiled through his day.I hope they play Mason William's Classical Gas in heaven. To this day, I never hear the first few bars of that song without thinking of Tom. Thank you for being one of the truly "stand out" educators in my young life. It was an honour and a pleasure to have known you. With love, One of your students from the 60's, now in their 60's.
