Thomas James “Jim” Reid

Our sweet loving father passed away peacefully at LHSC – Victoria Hopsital – palliative care unit, on Friday, September 6, 2024, in his 100th year.
Predeceased by his first wife Beryl (née Cook), who was the mother of his three children: Ann (Scott) Kirk, Robert (Wendy) Reid and Cheryl Reid. Survived by nine grandchildren: Lindsay (Greg) Smulders, Heather Kirk, Robyn (Andrew) Hogan, Nevin, Aaron, Ethan Reid, Carter (Isabelle) Robinson and Liam Robinson (Paige Smithers). Great-Pappa to Ainsley and Jack Smulders, Poppy and Easton Hogan, Serosa, Ellington and Finley Robinson. Predeceased by his sister, Alma MacDonald. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Elenore, and her family.
Dad was a 40-year employee of ALCAN, residing in Alma and Arvida, Quebec. He was an avid curler, a passionate golfer, excelling in both. Dad and Elenore were world travellers on the Princess Cruise line. He was a Canadian Air Force Veteran (Corporal), enlisted to serve in WW2.

Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at First Lobo Baptist Church, 22907 Nairn Road, Komoka on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment will take place.
Donations to Teen Challenge Canada or to the Humane Society London & Middlesex in memory of Dad would be appreciated.
