Thomas Frank ‘Tom’ Mason

Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 29, 2023 in his 98th year. Beloved husband of Eileen (née Topping) for 71 years. Loving father of David Mason and Nancy MacIver (Bill). Wonderful grandfather of Andrew (Megan), John (Paige) and Sarah. Brother of Mary Lobsinger of Vernon, BC; brother-in-law of Sandra Topping; and special uncle to Tim, Jan, John, Jeffrey, Lisa and Andrea. Tom was a long-time member of St. George’s Anglican Church where he volunteered in many capacities over the years. Tom enjoyed a long career in the banking industry, retiring from Royal Trust as Senior Trust Officer in 1988. Following retirement, Tom was an active member of the London Huff & Puff Seniors Association where he spent summers playing softball and winters skating. Tom enjoyed playing and watching most sports, and spent as much time as possible at the family cottage in Port Franks. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London where a funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Tom are asked to consider the St. George’s Anglican Church – Century Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
