My deepest condolences to you Kim and the family. Even though I didn't know Steve that long, there were lots of good, funny memories while we both worked for Don Harris @ Sunshine Carwash back in the mid '80s. As both Don and Bryan said, one of a kind Ethier, one of a kind. May you rest in peace and may God bless and keep you Kim and the family safe.

~ Bill Chinapen

What a loss - I was so saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I worked with him for 10 years and on top of being a generous, funny, friendly guy, he was the epitome of a professional; excellent at his job and persistent in all the best ways! He was one of my all-time favourites, and he will be missed by many.

My sincerest condolences at this time of loss. I had the absolute privilege of working with Steve at Suncor over the past number of years. Steve was always smiling, always there to lend a hand or help and always so proud of his family and his little granddaughter. I remember great conversations about the projects he was working on and so proud of or about what colour of stripes he was going to put on the Mustang. Steve will truly be missed.

Kim and Family: I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working both for, and with, Steve. We always started our conversations talking about family and how much he enjoyed being a grandfather. Then we would talk about the Montreal Canadians of course. I will miss those Tuesday morning chats. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.

Kim, Leah and Brandon: I am very sorry for your loss. People like Steve are far and few between. He will be missed by many who's lives have been touch by his presence. Steve was just one of those wonderful people who set the bar high for the treatment and care of others. He was a wonderful Father, Husband and Brother In-law. His time with us was very short but also very impactful. He has left his mark and legacy and has given us all much to think about, remember and learn by. I wished to express my condolences personally but decided it was best for the other family members if I did not complicate things with my presence. My heart goes out to the immediate family. My thoughts are with you and I know Steve's soul will continue to watch over you.

~ Paul Tylecek

While I have not seen Steve in some time, I have thought about him often and still laugh out loud about some of his silly stories and antics. It was an honor to know Steve through hockey, very kind, generous and quick with a smile. Both he and his family were always so very kind and welcoming. Kim, Leah and Brandon, I am so very sorry for your loss. Cherish the good times. Thinking of you all.
