I remember Shane firstly on tour in ireland what seems like an age ago now. My friend and also departed Kenny Nuzum introduced me to Shane as I was due to emigrate in the coming year. Over the next 5 years I got to know Shane and the one word that springs to mind is gentleman. A consumate thoroughly good bloke who I know everybody had great time for. I'd like to think that Fraser Cattell and Kenny await him now to spin old tales. To Jan and family I extend my sincere condolences from across the pond... Ni fheicimid a leithed aris..

~ Bill Cooper

I learned of Shane Carson's passing today. Shane was a man of patience and attention to detail. There were no short cuts nor "close enough" in Shane's personality. I expect Shane's personal life reflected these virtues. I can remember a huge snowstorm in London many years ago when many people had a snow-day, Shane walked the long distance through the chaos to work. Driving was next to impossible, yet Shane faced the difficulties and overcame the obstacles to walk to work. The world is a colder, smaller place without Shane Carson. Rest in Peace.
