Sally Jane Suchard
December 29, 2011
Embraced by the loving arms of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on December 29, 2011 in her 80th year. After a life of faithfully loving her Lord, her family and caring for others, she passed away very peacefully at home. Beloved daughter of the late Willard (Bill) and Helen Stacey, Sally was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will forever be missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Wes Suchard, daughters Susan (Martin Howard) and Judy, son Stuart (Linda) and her four dear granddaughters Lindsey, Chelsey, Stacey Suchard and Katie Howard. She will also be fondly remembered and missed by the many whose lives she lovingly touched as a high school friend from South Collegiate; as a leader of Bible Club in Orchard Park, Pioneer Girls and women’s ministries at Wortley Baptist Church, and her women’s bible study for more than 35 years; as a stalwart worker and board member for Ontario Bible College which later became Tyndale College; as a member of the Garden Club of London; as a tennis player and an aspiring bridge player at the London Hunt Club; and as a cottager in Grand Bend. Pictured above is Sally on Christmas Day 2011. Since the progression of her cancer in September 2011, her fervent prayer was that the Lord would allow her to have Christmas Day with her family. The Lord graciously answered her prayer and we enjoyed all the usual Christmas Day activities. The highlight was Sally reminiscing about many previously enjoyed events and happenings. In Sally’s words, “It was a wonderful day and perfect evening.” She truly experienced with the family a never-to-be-forgotten day. Visitation will be at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday, January 4, 1 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. The service will be at WEST PARK CHURCH, 955 Gainsborough Road on Thursday, January 5 at 11 am, followed immediately by a reception. The family wishes to thank the dedicated team of doctors and nurses at London Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. Kirk Hamilton and the team of VON palliative nurses who cared for Sally these last months and days. Donations in Sally’s memory may be made to The Tyndale Foundation, Tyndale University College and Seminary, 25 Ballyconnor Court, Toronto, ON M2M 4B3 or to Ovarian Cancer Canada, 205-145 Front St. East, Toronto, Ontario M5A 1E3.

Dear Family of Sally Suchard, For years during our time in active ministry we heard so many times of the blessing Sally was to so many people through her faithful teaching of God's word.Sally demonstrated her walk with the Lord through her care and concern for others. Since we had a near fatal accident she came several times to visit and her visits were certainly welcomed and appreciated. We thank the Lord for the wonderful testimony and the love which she showed and lived. Though we grieve your loss now that Sally has been promoted to Glory she is now in the presence of the Lord she loved. May the Lord grant you strength, courage and much blessing as you say goodbye to one so loved and with whom you will rejoin one day.

Wes and family, we remember Sally as a very gracious and kindly person over the years. She will be missed.
Wes and family, It was with great sadness I heard the news of Sally's passing. My family and I are leaving for Florida on Monday so we will miss the visitation and funeral. Sally had such a great influence on my life - as a new Christian she taught me the importance of being in the word daily and it is a discipline I practice to this day thanks to her patient training. May you all know His presence during this difficult time. I am so happy you had Christmas day together - it will be a memory to cherish. I know God said "well done good and faithful servant" as He welcomed her home. With love and prayers for you all
Dear Wes and family Geoff is currently recovering from surgery and we regret not being able to visit with you personally to express our deepest sympathy at Sally's passing. While some time has passed since our last get together, we have appreciated your sincere friendship over the years. We will always remember Sally as a lady of strong character and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She obviously touched the lives of all those who knew and loved her. She will be missed dearly. Fondest regards, Geoff Marisa and Colin Foster.

My sincere condolences to you, Wes and to your family. I had only met Sally once, but she made such an impression as a faithfilled and very gracious woman, who loved her "work" of caring for others in need. She, along with you Wes, were very kind to me, welcoming to the Board of Mission Services. I am sorry for your loss, and also very happy to hear that Sally had a wonderful time with her dear family over Christmas. Your family is in our prayers.
My prayers are with you, Wes, and your family as you release your dear Sally to the God who loves her so. May you know a very real sense of God's presence and peace.
