I first met Ryan when he was only 18 years old, working at the Hamilton Road Beer Store. Over the years, our relationship became more then just co-workers. He was like a little brother to me but even more important, someone who I considered a good friend. He was always there to help me with any event I planned for the Beer Store,always the first to volunteer his time. I know, from our many talks, he absolutely loved and adored his children and thought the world of his parents and sister.He had a very special relationship with his dad. I have no words,only to say,this is a tragic loss. Ryan was a great person. To the Shannon Family, you are in our thoughts. Mike and Pam

The heaven door's opened for Ryan because he was an amazing person. He brought a smile to my face everytime I was around him. I would like to convey my deepest sympathy to the Shannon family during this time of loss. From the moment I met Ryan, 7 years ago, he was polite, patient and always had an open ear. Doug and Elaine, we were very sorry to hear of Ryan's passing. I remember Ryan as one of my nicest students in my Grade 10 Math class. When you teach several students, you can't remember them all, but I certainly remembered Ryan, in a very positive way. At first, I wondered if his name was Ryan or Shannon, but I soon got that cleared up. You have our deepest sympathy.

I only knew Ryan for a very short time. What I knew right away,was how caring and loving and a genuine beautiful man he was. We shared so much! in so little time we had. I know the smiles and laughs we shared were truly golden ones, that I will rememeber Forever. My deepest condolences: I taught Ryan Woodworking at East Elgin Secondary School. He worked on the set for Fiddler on the Roof. He was a wonderful student who made me a better teacher. I had the opportunity to see Ryan one moning not too long ago whenhe was having breakfast with Daryn B. His mom and children were with him. He brought back some wonderful memories of time spent with him in class. Too young to leave your family Ryan rest in peace.

I just heard about Ryan - sad does not adequately describe leaving this world so early in life. Though I have not seen him in years, I went to high school with him and he was always so friendly to me, he was one of the few friends of my brother who would go out of his way to be kind, despite my then-shyness.
