KERNOHAN, Ruth Yvonne (nee Pollard) – Passed peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home, Port Stanley, on Sunday, July 24th, 2011 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald William Kernohan (2005). Dear mother of Paul Kernohan. Dear sister-in-law of Howard and Donna Fleming. Fondly remembered by her niece Kelly and her nephews Hugh and Matt. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment of ashes at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ruth are asked to consider The Canadian Hearing Society.

Ruth and Gerry were long time and founding members of our sailing squadron. They sailed 'Frisken' out of Port Stanley for many years. Their vision and foresight contributed greatly to the sailing squadron as it is today.
