We first met Ruth through Tom when he and I worked together in the mid 80's. We would often visit their beautiful home in Oakville where Ruth was the 'Martha Stewart' of her time. She became an inspiration to me in the way she kept her gorgeous home and the family she so celebrated and cherished. As we got to know Ruth over the years , the fashion and decorating were just one dimension of this lovely person. She was so much more ! She became someone we adored because of her positive and caring nature. As a friend she was the cheerleader who always encouraged you to follow your dreams and goals. When we heard of her passing we were all planning an annual get together with the 'Kayser gang' before she went back to B.C. We were so taken back by the sudden news! Ruth has left such a void as a positive, kind and caring friend. She was never judgmental and so full of love. We will miss her friendship and laughter. She was uniquely one of a kind...." a gem among rocks, a light in the darkness, a song in the quiet ". She radiated so much warmth, happiness and love. Ruth we adored you. You will forever be in our hearts and memories. We send our deepest condolences to Tom, Ian, Allison & their families. Our hearts, thoughts and support are with you today and always. Love Barbara , Gabriel & Family. xoxo
