Ronald ‘Ron’ (“Rockin’ Ronnie”) Williams

Ronald “Ron” Williams, at the age of 89, passed away peacefully with family by his side, at Bobier Villa in Dutton, Ontario, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen; doting daughter, Susan (Stephen); and son, David (Lisa). He was a rambunctious brother to Betty, Harold, Ken, and Frank. Beloved Grandad to Gregory, Christine, Michael, Matthew, Bradley, Jacqueline, and Geoffrey. Ron was born on May 27, 1934 in Pensby, England. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his newlywed wife, Doreen. Together they built a wonderful life together in a new continent, at the young ages of 22 and 20, respectively. Ron was a larger-than-life presence, whether it was over a dining room or boardroom table. He truly encapsulated the entrepreneurial spirit through his various business ventures. He was also a kind soul who showed it in a variety of ways, from a morning cup of tea on the bedside table to handyman tasks around the house. He enjoyed a day of gardening, extravagant storytelling, and infectious singing. We are thankful for the care he received from the amazing Bobier staff in his final days. He will be sorely missed and cherishingly remembered. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ron are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
