Unexpectedly, on Monday, August 15, 2016, Rod MacDougall, of London, at the age of 73. Rod will be greatly missed by his best friend, Valerie Misener and her daughter Vanessa Misener-Sweet. Dear brother of Deirdre O’Neil and her husband Max. Treasured uncle of Sean O’Neil, of Washington, Tara O’Neil, of Port Dalhousie, and Erin O’Neil, of Barbados. Also missed by great nieces and nephew. Tia Maria, his four legged friend, will be lovingly cared for by Val. A private family memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, August 26, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rod may be made to the London Humane Society.

My condolences go to your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I understand how difficult it is to cope with the loss of a loved one. I hope that you find comfort in this Bible promise found at Revelation 21:4: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." This promise made by God will soon be fulfilled by means of his kingdom, ruled by Christ Jesus. Not only will he bring an end to death but our dead loved ones will be brought back to life. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15) Until that times arrives, may the "God of all comfort" be with you during your time of need. (Isaiah 25:8; Psalm 34:18).
