Born in Sarnia on April 22nd, 1928, passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Saturday, March 18th, 2017. Father to Christine (Vince) Vergilio and Cynthia Norris. Grandfather to David and Mark Vergilio and Lisa (Greg) Tiemessen and great-grandfather to Claire and William Tiemessen. Brother to Catherine (Don) Wardell and Carol (Terry) McCullough. Loving partner to Dorothy Knight and step-father to John (Sherrill) Knight and Valerie (Al) Belecky. Step-grandfather to Eric and Kara Knight, John (Mandy) Belecky and Krista (Ryan) Cook and step-great-grandfather to Chase and Ainsley Cook, and Liam and Marley Belecky. Predeceased by his parents Franklin Sidney and Ruby Christina (née Lucas) Smith, brothers Kenneth (Dorothy Alexander), Ronald (Sharon), Ralph (Marylou), Ross (Karen) Smith, and sister Darlene (Don) Turnball. The memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior.
