Our deepest condolences to you Geri and the entire family. We were very saddened to hear of your loss. Robert was and will always be remembered as a very kind man and he will be missed at our office. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
We didn’t know Rob long – just a few years – but we will truly miss him! His smile, his generosity, his zest for life – and the every Sunday ritual of washing the car! Even though we only knew him for a short time, we have some awesome memories – the Christmas cocktail parties at your condo, the party at our condo, the Jack Benny statue that Rob said only Mike would appreciate, the musical collage (Blues) poster he brought back for Mike from Memphis, the sharing of “pops” on the patio and, of course, the plant pulleys that he had purchased from the ad on TV and (unbeknownst to us at the time) put on our patio hanging plants. (They work well!) When we thanked him, his response was “I wanted to!” We, along with all of you, wish we could have continued sharing memories with Rob. Rest in peace Rob - till we meet again!

Geri, Jamie, Jodi and family, we send our deepest condolences to your entire family and it was a tremendous privilege to be a part of the wonderful tributes paid to Robert at the service yesterday. Dave's heartfelt comments showed just how much of a true friend Robert was to so many. There was not a dry eye during his touching eulogy. I was one of the people that Robert pranked with the license plate gag back in the early 90's that John so elequently discussed. I was a victim on several occasions, and the boys topped it off by doing it to me again when Robert, Cliff and I drove to Toronto to see the Blue Jays win the World series game at the Skydome in 1993. That is a memory that I will cherish forever. I can still recall the very first words Robert said to me when I met him in 1988. Upon telling him that I was from Calgary, Robert said with a devilish grin, "there are only two things that come from Calgary, steers and queers, so which are you?" I could only moo in response. Robert flashed me a big smile and told me he was happy to have me on board. He NEVER forgot that line and repeated it often over the years. Robert was a giant in our industry. He was tough, but fair, and he always wanted us to "do your best" and with that, his support for us and our products was always honorable. I will mourn his passing, but I will celebrate his life and what joy he brought to mine. Thank you for the wonderful tribute to a great man, mentor and friend...our industry will never forget him and the impact he made on so many people's lives. Hugs and blessings.
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the family, friends, partners, and co-workers of Robert. We remember him as being so generous when he took us out to dinner during our visits to London. David was very appreciative when Robert took him out to the hockey games--he went out of his way to make people comfortable. May all of your good memories help you through this time.
Robert was a great guy and will be missed. Please accept our condolences and best wishes at what must be a very difficult time In our thoughts John Pearce
