Robert John Earl McRoberts

Peacefully on Friday, April 19th, 2013, at L.H.S.C. University Hospital, surrounded by his family, Robert John “Earl” McRoberts, of London, in his 90th year.  Loving husband for 65 years to Anne McRoberts (née Wilson).  Cherished father to Carol (Bill) Richardson, Gloria (Wilf) Riddell, Bob (Debbie), Paul (Jean), Glenn (Cathy) and Gary (Debbie).  Proud Grandfather to Rob (Vicki), Sandra, Blair (Lisa), Tyler, Katie, Mike (Brandy), Scott (Yui), Steven (Amy), Kristy (Nate), Karna (Mike), Paula (Tim), Andrea (Gavin), Brent, Jay (Layna), Jennifer and Meghan.  Great Grandfather to Abby, William, Ryker, Cameron, Landon, Carter, Caelan, Jordon, Chelsea and Maxwell.  Brother-in-law to Audrey McRoberts, Velma and Del Hillis, Shirley Cameron, Bev Wilson and Ken Wilson (Helen).  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, Ernie (1963) and Tillie (1965) McRoberts, his brothers Wallace and Elliott McRoberts, his Granddaughter Tracy Lynn McRoberts (1973), his brother-in-law Bill Wilson and his sister-in-law Norma Wilson.  Earl’s family extends thanks to the staff of L.H.S.C. University Campus, especially the Palliative Care Unit.  A special “thank you” to Rev. Sheila Macgregor for her support throughout this difficult time.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Siloam Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Earl are asked to please consider the L.H.S.F. Cancer Centre, Siloam United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
