Passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 9th, 2016, in his 63rd year. Proud father of Michael (Elissa), Jennifer Butler (Ryan) and the late Jeffrey Darling (2007), and grandfather of Layna. Beloved son of Lois and Glen Darling. Survived by his brothers Daniel and James. Sadly missed by his loyal canine companion Bronx. Rob will be remembered by his extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Rob’s memory are asked to consider the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Dearest Darling family, Rob will be missed terribly. My dad, Alan, loved him and you all so very much. We are thankful that we had him in our lives and are so saddened to hear of his sudden passing. Dear Glenn,Lois and family;My mom and I are truly saddened by the very recent passing of my buddy from my highschool days at Westmimister High in London,Ontario from September1968-June 1972,remembering all the great times we all had as members of the Senior Football team under coaches Barry Sanderson and Peter Morningstar ,with our dear principal and dear friend always Mr.Ray Cook as the captain of the ship so to sprak.sorry Mrs darling we had to test drive your brand new 1971 Pontiac c car one Friday night after a Senior Boys Basketball game on our tour towards the Ridout tavern for a few liquid libations.Little did I realize I would meet Robert again while working at CbS equipmemt on Adelaide Strret South,back in the summer of 1983 while driving a truck leased from John Mays for Almatex Paint proceeding nort on Adelaide street while I was walking to angelos on Thompson Road to get something for my lunch that day.What a super truck driver he was,My dad jack said that he could have worked for him anytime from November 1974 -January 19990 while he was the vice presdent for Southwestern Ontario for

Steve and I were very sorry to hear about Rob. He had a unique personality, crazy laugh and very soft heart! He was a very special friend to our son Adam! We will all miss him.
My most heartfelt condolences to family and friends of Rob. After the initial shock wore off - due to his untimely passing, I can only reflect on what a great friend, confidant, and inspiration my "buddy" was! Rob often said "What would I ever do without my Bronxy".....what will Bronx do without Rob? Rob will be SOOOOOOO missed, but a lot of memories will always remain.
