Richard Tribe
May 18, 2024
He passed away quickly with many of his loved ones by his side, on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Richard was a devoted and loving husband to Anne. They met the day after she arrived in Canada and recently celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary. He was a great father to Lauren and Michael (Karin) and grandfather to Remi and Tristan. He gave his time and expertise selflessly and was always helping others. He will be missed by many family members and friends who will hold him forever in their hearts.
The family will receive friends and family at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario on Sunday, May 26, 2024, with visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. followed by a short funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
It is the family’s wish that any memorial tributes be made, in lieu of flowers, in the form of a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear Anne, Lauren, Remi & Tristan, Michael & Karin, Sending my sincere condolences as you grieve the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Richard was such a remarkable man; kind, wise, and always willing to help when needed! Dave and I enjoyed getting to know you both at church and later social time together. When we all ended up on the St. James' Save The Bells committee, it was evident from the beginning that Richard would become crucial to the success of this huge project. His expertise to arrange contracts and liase with the Ohio company who undertook the restoration and refurbish of existing bell, but also the casting of new ones. He will be missed but fondly remembered by many.
Pat & I are sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He was an invaluable part of the team that came together to restore our wonderful chime of bells in the tower at St. James' Stratford in 2010. Richard was patient, thoughtful and freely shared his knowledge & expertise. When I am ringing the bells, he will be remembered. Peter Ryde
So sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. He will never be forgotten by the folks at St. James for the wonderful contribution he made in the bell restoration project. I think of him often when I hear them ringing. Kindest condolences to you, Anne and your family.
We are deeply thankful for the Richard's work at St. James, Stratford on the committee that undertook the restoration of our bells . The bells ring out across the city marking the time and music is played on the bells every Sunday morning and every Wednesday evening. We will think of Richard when we hear the bells ringing.
