With much love in our hearts, the family of Rick O’Hara announces his passing on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the age of 86.
Rick will be dearly missed by his wife Barbara (née Jesse) of 66 years; daughter Sandi (Robin); son Rod (Susan); and grandsons Sean (Kamila), Logan (Emily) and Lachlan (Dominique).
Remembered fondly by brother-in-law Bill Jesse; niece Patricia Letson (Dave); nephews Jordan Roberts (Kathy), Chris Jesse (Amber), Steven Jesse (Monika); and special friends Ann and Ross Wilson; the Paleczny family; and Pat and Ken Lockrey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., with words of remembrance to be shared at 1:30 p.m., at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of London (bgclondon.ca) or the Humane Society London & Middlesex (hslm.ca).

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Richard, an exceptional man, who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was kind, generous and had unwavering love for his family. Barb, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. So sorry for your loss. Rick was a very kind and generous person with a wicked sense of humor especially at Halloween.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Sandi. I remember your dad as a gentle soul with a wonderful twinkle who loved to smile and share a joke. Wishing you strength during this very sad time.
Rick O'Hara will always stand out in my mind as a gentleman who cared deeply about his family, friends and community. As a former Optimist member he was active in programs such as hockey and baseball which benefitted youth in his neighbourhood. It was that same spirit of helping others that characterized his involvement in the Horton Street Seniors Centre. I will miss his sense of humour and friendly banter that we enjoyed every time we met. My sincerest condolences to Barb and his family.
