Richard Paul Reichert

June 16, 2017

April 15, 1948 – June 16, 2017

Passed peacefully, in his sleep, into the presence of his Lord, where we will one day meet him again. Cherished husband and best friend of Hope, having just celebrated 48 years of marriage. Dear Dad of Peter (Celeste) of Madrid, Spain; Jennifer (Kitt) of New York, NY; Joel (Christa) of Phoenix, AZ; and Paul (BethAnn) of Quito, Ecuador. Fun-loving Grampa to Peter’s kids, Ethan, Jadyn, and Chase; Joel’s kids Blaize, Xavier, Cruz and Mayela; and Paul’s kids Jack, Carleigh and Tilghman. Dear brother of Priscilla (Bill), Santa Barbara, CA; predeceased by his brother Allen (Claudette), 2009. Dear brother-in-law to Ron and Faith Burnham, Windsor, ON; and Vic and Nancy Enns, Madeira, BC, and beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews. Richard was born in Outlook, Saskatchewan in 1948. He was ordained to the ministry in 1977, while serving at Luseland Alliance Church in Saskatchewan. In 1979, they left for overseas ministry with the C&MA in Ecuador. In 2003, they transitioned to the Caribbean Sun Region and finished their ministry in Mexico City in 2013. They retired to London where they worked actively on their bucket list. A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at WEST LONDON ALLIANCE CHURCH, 750 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to International Teams Canada, on behalf of Paul and Beth Reichert, or Global Advance Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.

Richard devoted his life to his God, his family and his good work. His efforts have impacted the lives of countless individuals and families. His concern and devotion for the "least and the lost" inspired us all. It was truly an honor to have known this fine man and we send our sympathies to the family....with very special love to Hope and our Jenn.
