Rheta Jean Lamont
July 3, 2024
Rheta passed away peacefully, at Southbridge London, Long-Term Care in the presence of her daughter Cynthia on Thursday, July 3rd, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Donald for 72 years. Loving Mother of Cynthia Lamont-Martin and the late Christine Anne King and Geary Donald Lamont. Adored grandmother of Cassandra Scott, Dan, and Steve King, step-grandmother of Sarah and Lindsay Martin, Care and Jon Lamont, and Heather Barret. Great-grandmother of Savannah, Isaac, Charlotte and Harris King, Maximus Martin, Evelyn Scott, Pearl, Theodora, and Olive Vanloffeld.
Rheta was an incredibly kind and talented woman. She was very creative in every form imaginable; art, music, food, party planning! She loved to host gatherings with her close friends for bridge, holidays with family, and everything in between. She was always making elaborate dishes and baked goods. She absolutely loved her family and would talk anyone’s ear off about her kids and grandkids. She was the sweetest and most loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A memorial visitation for Rheta will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, July 8th, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with refreshments and words of remembrance at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to donate in memory of Rheta are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners or a charity of their choice.
