Dear Ena and family I am sorry to hear of the passing of Rev Parker. I have fond memories of being in the rectory with you in Thorndale. I still have a sugar dish and cream pitcher you gave me. Rev Parker was a large presence in the church , a kind and generous man. I remember sitting in your kitchen at lunch with Rev Parker and him talking to me and asking me about myself. I felt so important. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is difficult to lose a member of the family because there is a space where they were physically there. Memories though painful at first are the thing that pulls us forward and brings a smile .

Dear Mrs. Parker and Family - My husband Randy and I were sorry to learn of Rev. Parker's death. He married us in 1975 at Holy Trinity in Burford, and I know my parents Mel and Shirley Robertson enjoyed and appreciated the friendship of you both. (They have both passed on, Dad in 2001 and Mum in 1997.) We hope his final years were healthy and happy ones. With kindest regards, Liz (nee Robertson) and Randy Brown

I wish to express our deepest sympathy on learning of the passing of a dear family friend, Rev. Canon Douglas Llewellyn Parker. As children growing up, we called him "Uncle Doug" and his wife "Aunt Ena." Our families were close and we often got together for wonderful visits and my parents counted Uncle Doug and Aunt Ena as among their dearest friends throughout their lives. I am thankful for all the happy memories, and want to express our love and sympathy to Aunt Ena and the whole family.
