Passed away peacefully at Highview Residences, on Sunday, March 14, 2021, Mr. Ray Cullen, of London, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of 58 years to Jackie (née Carr) Cullen. Loving father to Gary Cullen, Randy (Natalie), Gregg (Linda), Dan (Stephanie) and the late Jeff (1995). Dear brother of Brian (the late Carol), Barry (Judy) and Bruce (Lori). Proud Papa to Carly, Connor, Rachael, Nicole, Olivia, and Evan. A private family Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Parish. A service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held this summer. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ray are asked to consider the Children’s Health Foundation.

I am sorry to hear of your fathers' passing. Its been such a long time since working at the dealership but remember how enjoyable it was. Everyone was pleasant and happy throughout the company as I recall. He would visit the detailing area and shop on a regular basis and have a genuine interest in everyones lives. Those are the memories everytime I drive past.
To Mrs. Cullen, Gary, Randy, Gregg, Dan & your families; I find it difficult to adequately express my most sincere condolences to all of of you for the loss of Mr. Cullen. He has provided well for you & for countless others of us who have been most fortunate to be the employees of Ray Cullen Chevrolet. Dear Jackie, Gary , Randy, Greg and Dan and Families. I was heartbroken to hear of Uncle Ray's passing. He was a great guy with a super sense of humour. He was always so kind to me. He was a saviour to me during my teenage years when he covered up and took care of a few fender benders for me. (Still a secret). Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Dear Jackie, Gary, Gregg, Dan and families. We are so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. Our memories of our friendship go a long way back. We spent many fond times together starting with me staying with you when Ray and Ted were at DRW's camp so long ago. We are pleased that we were able to meet Ray again at the Vancouver Canuck reunion a few years back. We just wish that you Jackie had been able to come so we could have really got caught up. You are all such a large, loving and generous family, Mr. Cullen will be greatly missed. I have such great memories of spending summer days riding my bike over to the house on Leland Place with all the action. One morning Mr. Cullen came out through me some keys and asked me to move a Cadillac. I was 14 and never driven a car before. After my performance, he never asked again, but it was the greatest morning of my life to that point. What a man! Bless you all.

Dear Jackie and your beautiful family, Our hearts are hurting at the loss of a best buddy of 40 years. Ray and I were like brothers who shared many good times together. Our friendship began when Ray retired from hockey and joined with me to run his brother Brian's St. Catharines car dealership. When Ray moved on to open his own dealership in London I was excited to follow his path and he welcomed me with open arms. Although we were now competitors in the same city our friendship continued thru all the years. Ray encouraged me to golf and we had many a game and good stories to tell. There have been so many good times and shared sad times we think of the entire Cullen family as our family. Ray was a kind, caring friend, an expert car dealer, very generous, always with a smile and a good sense of humour. He was a devoted husband to Jackie, a great father to Gary, Randy, Gregg, Jeff and Danny. He welcomed and loved their spouses and was so proud of them all and his grandchildren. RIP my dearest friend Ray, Georgina and I will keep you safely in our hearts always. Our deepest sympathy

I was fortunate that my dad, Ralph Glew, worked for Ray Cullen at his car dealership for more than two decades. My dad was the company's secretary treasurer and I was lucky enough to work there during the summers of my high school years. When I was there, Mr. Cullen rarely spoke of his NHL career -- at that point, he was a hardworking, successful business owner focused on making the experience better for his customers. But as a young sports fan, I found myself in awe of him and always listening for any little fragment of a story from his NHL career. I was too shy to ask him, but I remember eavesdropping outside my dad's office when Mr. Cullen would drop the occasional reference to his time with the Minnesota North Stars or the Vancouver Canucks. What I didn't know until recently was that during the 1966-67 season, he played on a line with Gordie Howe with the Detroit Red Wings. He was a good man who loved his family deeply and treated my father and my brother, Paul, very well. He will be missed. My thoughts are with his wife, Jackie, and her sons, Gary, Randy, Gregg and Dan and their families.

Hopefully the joyous nature of Ray will be a long term comfort to the family. My exchange ms with Ray were infrequent but always extremely pleasant. One evening I drove him home from the golf club and we sat outside the house talking about the joys of family and friends. A truly lovely guy...
Sorry to hear of Mr. Cullen's passing at still considered a young age today. He was without doubt, an above board human being. To this day, I still wish I had gotten to know him better. My very sincere condolences to his family and to the long serving staff at the automobile dealership. May God rest his soul in eternal and heavenly peace.

I only met Ray on a couple of occasions. Both times I was so impressed with his personality and warmest to someone he just met...I called him when he first came to London to open the dealership...I remember telling him it was the best marketing I had ever seen...what I terrific businessman...I know the family is continuing the tradition and will have continued success...Rest in Peace Ray...and may the family always remember that no one can take away the memories...
