My wife, Dot, and I have been away from St. Thomas and St. Mark's United Church for many years, but we remember all of you with very fond memories of our families growing up together. It is with sadness that we learned of Rafiqa passing and convey our sympathy to your family. As the former minister of your "old" congregation of St. Mark's I am confident that your strong faith and family solidarity will support you in the days and weeks ahead. God's peace be with you. Sincerely, (Rev.) Gord Duncan
Dear Sam and Family - My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mother. I know it has been a very long time, but I can remember her welcoming me into your home in St. Thomas on many occasions and she and the rest of your family being the most gracious of hosts, always. Christine and I will be thinking of you at this difficult time. Take care.
May the Lord bless you and keep you in this time of sorrow, reminding you of treasured memories, and the gift of shared love. May he inspire you with the reflection of heaven in earth, from the seeds and flowers, to the mountains and springs. And may you feel the Lord with you, walking besides you in the loneliness, taking your hand in the hardest times and carrying you through the waters of grief. May you be safe and treasured in his hand. Amen. The whole family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We remember all the good times we had especially the trip out East and the Christmas Eve's we shared during the years. Renu

Dear Mushtaq Bhai Sahib and the family, I just opened the St Thomas newspaper and read about Rafiqaji. I am so sorry to read that. I was just thinking of her few days ago to visit her. Can't believe she has passed on. There aren't enough words to fill the void left behind by the passing of your devoted wife, beloved mother and grandmother. I pray to God to give you strength to cope with the loss. She is gone but will never be forgotten. She had been so wonderful to me since the day I met her. We didn't connect over the years but I will always remember the friendship and support Rafiqaji and your family gave me. Thank you all so much. God grant her peace.
