Priscilla Mary Ann Johnston

JOHNSTON, Priscilla Mary Ann – Johnston, Priscilla Mary Ann in her 70^th year.  Beloved wife and confidant of Ted.  Best Friend and hero to her children Deb Hirdes; Tony Hirdes; Denise and Jim Norman; Kim Doyle and Gerald Heine; Catherine Pyke;  Her family expanded 29 years ago when she married Ted to include Paul Johnston and the late Laurie Johnston; Peter and Angie Johnston; David Johnston.  Loved without reservation by her grandchildren, Heather and Mike Weyers; Kathryn Norman and Sanjeeve Dhanapala; Beth Hirdes and Rob Franklin; Robyn Norman; Janel Hirdes; Josh Heine; Charlie and the late Steven Doyle; Jenny and Josh Johnston; Ryan; Corey; and Jessica Johnston; Andrew; Will and Sarah Johnston.  She welcomed her great grandchildren Tess and Cole Weyers with her usual aplomb and became Gigi.  Will be deeply missed by her long time friends Bonnie and Cathie and her fifth daughter Susan.  Priscilla overcame many obstacles in her life.  Ahead of her time, as a single parent, she raised her daughters to be strong, independent and positive women.  During that time she returned to school and became a Dental Assitant at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  Her marriage to Ted brought her a partner who shared her love of travel and family.  We will cherish the many family gatherings that she took so much joy in planning and providing to her family.  Our hearts are heavy with sadness but we know that she will be dancing above us every day.    There will be no visitation.  Priscilla’s life will be celebrated at a memorial reception at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 12:00-2:30 p.m.  Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a donation in memory of Priscilla are asked to consider the charity of your choice.
