At Strathmere Lodge on Monday, March 19th, 2012, with her family by her side, Mrs. Petronella “Nell” Jansen, of Strathroy, and formerly of Ilderton, in her 90th year. Wife of the late John Jansen (1995). Loving mother of Pat Jansen and her partner Judy, Cathy and her husband Gary Jewell and John Jansen and his wife Mary. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Nell is predeceased by her 13 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North on Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Lucan. Nell’s family wish to express thanks to the special staff at Strathmere who did so much to make Mom’s time there so comfortable. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Nell are asked to consider the Strathmere Lodge Palliative Care Room.

Dear Pat & Judy, Cathy & Gary, John & Mary and families, Ben and I would like to extend our condolences on the passing of your mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Your mom was a person who will be remembered for many things. I personally loved her Mocha Taart and many other dishes which she made, she was a cook extraordinaire. Also she made so many wonderful afghans which are such great keepsakes for the ones who were lucky enough to receive one. She was a very social person and was the happiest when people stopped in so she had someone to talk to. Losing a mother is difficult but you have some great memories to see you though the difficult days ahead of you. She will be missed, but she's at peace and we wouldn't wish her back to suffer more. love Pat & Ben
