Peter Gerald Smith

August 15, 2024

After a brave battle with prostate and bone cancer, Peter Gerald Smith passed away, Thursday, August 15th, 2024 at Parkwood Hospital, with his wife Judy by his side. Peter was 80 years old.

Beloved husband of Judy for 45 years. Loving father of David Smith and Jennifer Smith. Adored grandfather of Jade, Zoey, Jackson, Sadie and Maicy.  Predeceased by his Dad, A.E. “Pete” Smith (1993), his Mom, Dorothy Smith (2006) and his sister, Karen Leigh Smith (2019).

Peter was a retired partner from Ford, Keast Chartered Accountants. He had a heart of gold and was always there to help out in any way with family. Peter loved getting away to the cottage up north in Inverhuron every year. He had been going up to Inverhuron every summer from when he was just a young boy. We will miss him and his unfailing support and unconditional love in our lives.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Parkwood Hospital and London Health Sciences Centre for the great care and support Peter received.

A funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
