Paul aka Uncle Paul was able to capture all the great moments when East met West in the summer of 1988. Here’s a photo from the memorable trip to Mount Edith Cavell in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. A moment captured by Paul’s deluxe camera, Shannon snapping the photo. Not pictured, all 10 of us, plus our dog Misty, crammed into the suburban to make the round trip from Edmonton to Jasper. Onlookers likely thought they were seeing a real-life clown car, as we loaded and unloaded. A deeply thoughtful and loyal person, Paul always made time for people. His warm and jovial presence made everyone who came into contact with him, feel welcome and seen. We’re thinking of Sue, Shannon, Melissa and family — sending our love and support.

Paul will be missed by so many people and by all of our members of the Mocha Classics car club. Paul was a very active member of our car club and was always smiling and taking pictures. Due to his efforts he kept all our events recorded for ever, what a testament to a great Noble and mason. Paul always had time to speak to everyone and was always a positive influence on everyone he met. His pictures were a real reflection of his personality and his love of others. Please accept our sincere condolences to all his family members, remember the good days, and know that the pain of his loss is felt by so many more.

To the Loftus family, please accept our condolences on Paul's passing. Ruth and I have known Paul and the family for many years. As president of the Garrison Community Council, I re-established contact with Paul when he joined the GCC several years ago. He faithfully attended our meetings whether in person or on Zoom. We will miss him.

Shannon, our condolences to you and your family. Our thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. I recall your father from my time at the Shrine.

We are so sorry to hear of Paul's passing and extend our sincere condolences to all his family members. It was a real pleasure to get to know this gentleman of character, humour and kindness while members of New St. James Presbyterian Church. As we are currently out of country we will unfortunately miss his Celebration of Life but will be there in spirit. Rest in peace, dear friend.

My condolences to all the Loftus family. An extra big hug for Melissa whom I worked with at Circle R Ranch. I'm sure all who knew "Ballo" and "Shade" would send their love as well. Ian Besch aka "Maestro"

To the Loftus family I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing, my sincere condolences to your entire family. Paul was for many years a very active volunteer with the London Valley Consistory Club. He enjoyed the fellowship with the guys while making a positive contribution to our community. He was an avid photographer, took lots of photos at our annual barbeques. Paul was a fine gentleman, and true and loyal brother in Masonry. I hope that happy memories, and the love of family and friends will help support you during this difficult time.

Our Uncle Paul will be remembered with love. A life well-lived, forever in our hearts, his presence will be missed and our memories of him treasured forever. While we do not remember days we always remember moments; our Uncle Paul is one of those special people in our lives who will forever be in our hearts.

~ Eileen, David & Douglas Loftus

So sorry to hear about this. He certainly fostered a fun place for us to gather as teenagers. Our thoughts are with you Melissa and family.
