Patrick Joseph Nelligan

Proud Navy Veteran of WWII, passed away quietly on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in his 90th year. Survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth. Predeceased by his first wife Josephine (Jay) in 1974. Beloved father of the late Fr. Joe Nelligan (1990), Janis (David) Landell, Kate Nelligan, Mary Jo (Bill) Jansenberger, and Terri (Martin) Zimmer. Patrick is survived by his “big brother” Barry and predeceased by brothers Frank (2004), Joe (2005) and Steve (2006). Lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth’s children; Roger (Candy) Richards, Anne (Jim) Schultz and the late Glenn Richards (1989) (Margreth). Also loved and missed by Elizabeth’s brothers Frank (2009) and Fred Barber and their wives. Pat was a proud and loving grandfather to many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Thank you to the superb compassionate care our father received at Parkwood Hospital, Veteran’s Wing. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Friday, July 2, 2010 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. where a Legion, Navy and Funeral Service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Darrell Shaule and Fr. Joe Seminati officiating. Reception will immediately follow at the Westview Funeral Chapel.
