Peacefully, with her husband Jim by her side, at their residence on Saturday, February 16th, 2013, Patricia “Pat” Stebbins, of London, at the age of 74. Beloved wife and best friend of E.V. “Jim” Stebbins. Loving mother of June (David) Hough, Cathy (Jeff) McGregor, Al (Lori) Hough, Linda (Glenn) Stebbins, Jim (Cathy) Stebbins and the late Denise Mawson. Also loved by her grandchildren: Aidan, Shayne, Nathan, Katerina, Paige, Tina, Holly, Jamie, Rebecca, Shannon, Brett, Audrey, Kyle, Daryn; and by her 12 great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by sisters Dodie and Flo and by brother Ron. Sister-in-law of Sam, Gina and Donius. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Billy, Don, Alfie, Jessie and Ellen. Deep appreciation to the personal support workers: Judi, Nkeze, Megan, Margaret, Rina, Shelly and Jocelyne for their tender and attentive care of Pat. Special thanks to nurses Cheryl and Adam for their compassion and expertise and to Dr. Gil Schrier who was so gentle with Pat and was always there when we needed him. Also most appreciated was the planning and coordination provided by the staff and management of St. Elizabeth Health Care, Revera Home Healthcare and the Community Care Access Centre of London and Middlesex, which allowed Pat to fulfill her wish to be cared for at home, close to her husband and family in her end days. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North. The funeral service will be conducted at the Church of the Ascension, 2060 Dundas Street East, London, on Thursday, February 21st, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., Archdeacon Sam Thomas officiating. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pat are asked to consider the Church of the Ascension.
