I was very sorry to hear about Pat. Growing up as a close friend to Rick made me a constant visitor to the Wilbur household on Oak Park. I'm sure there were many times when it must have seen like I was living there. And yet, Pat was always very welcoming and I never felt unwanted at the Wilburs. My mother also got to know Pat and they became friends in the last couple of decades. Pat was a wonderful person. My thoughts go out to Rick/Jan/Bill but in particular to Rick, Lynn, Chris, Mike.

My sympathies to Rick, Jan and Bill on the loss of your mother especially so soon after losing Jim. Best wishes in the weeks ahead but be comforted by the fact that you were blessed to have such exceptional parents. Pat was a great mother and fabulous person and always made me feel welcome as an honourary Wilbur. She had the vitality of someone several decades her junior! My mother was very saddened to hear of Pat's illness as she thoroughly enjoyed the times in each other's company especially at the Oscar parties that Pat hosted each year. It was my privilege to have known Pat and I am very sorry for your loss.

Dearest Hazel, Bill & Sally, Rick and Janis:

Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. Pat was always very kind to me when I was young and visiting Uncle Squire’s and Auntie Hilda’s house on Greenwood Avenue. She was equally kind and sympathetic when my father died last year -- a special woman indeed. We grieve with you. Sincerely, Alison & Colin Thornton

Sad to hear your news - it is always hard to lose a parent regardless of age. I hope it brings back great memories and family reunions that help to celebrate her life. Thinking of you .Love Lini and Bob.
