Surrounded by family as he passed into God’s arms peacefully at University Hospital on Friday, January 5th, 2018, Nelson Reith Morphy age 76. Loving husband of Janice Morphy (née Webb). Beloved father of Richard and Anna Morphy, Lianne and Glenn Ruby. Devoted grandfather of Emily and Adam Morphy, Jacob, Blair, Sam, David John, and Joy Ruby, and Julia and Tyler Stiller. Dear great-grandfather of Abel. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters: Don and Cathy Morphy, John and Fran Morphy, Sylvia and Jurgen Schiffer, Lori Luscombe (Terry), Dale Henderson. Forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Dr. George and Lila Morphy, Gordon and Shirley Webb, along with Nora Henderson, Rena Morphy, and Carol Ann Miles. The family wishes to thank the medical teams at the London Regional Cancer Centre as well as University Hospital ICU for the caring and compassionate support provided. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Nelson’s life has been planned on Saturday, January 13th, 3:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Family and friends will be received one hour prior at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Nelson, are asked to consider Little by Little or Safe Families Canada.

We are saddened by the passing of Nelson. In the short time we have known him he has blessed our family. He was so genuine! When in a conversation with him he was always present, engaged, kind and gentle. We felt his love and a deep humble & caring heart. He treated us like we were the only ones in the room!!
