Mychajlo ‘Mike’ Nakonecznyj

Peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Sydenham Retirement Residence in Wallaceburg, in his 90^th year.  Beloved husband of Olga for 65 years.  Loving father of Alla (Doug) Steen and Eugene (Jane) Nakonecznyj.  Proud Grandpa of Laura Steen.  Mike worked at Borden’s (Ingersoll) for 30 years and was a long-standing member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church.  In retirement, Mike developed a passion for tending his flower gardens, fishing and travelling, with Olga, to many parts of the world – their favourite being Spain.  The family extend special thanks to Dr. Mayo and the staff of Sydenham Residence for their special care and support.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:00 p.m., at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mike are asked to consider Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church or The Arthritis Society.
