At Terrace Lodge, Aylmer, Ontario. Predeceased by parents Amelia and Bernard Neal; brothers: Georgie, Raymond, Harold, Ronnie and Arthur; and by husband Lorne (1995). Mother of Gail Males, London and Alan White (Rowene), Iowa. Grandmother of Kerrie, Jason, Meghan and Mallery. Great-grandmother of Danielle, Mathieu and Kaitlyn. Sister of Victor, Vernon and Shirley. Survived by several nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Beryl McGregor. Born in London, Ontario, Mildred attended Tecumseh public school and Grade 9 at Beal Tech, leaving to help her mom at home. Later she worked at Selby Shoe Factory. She married in 1942 while residing in Owen Sound and worked at the Owen Sound Sun Times. Mildred and Lorne moved back to London where Gail (1943) and Alan (1950) completed their family. She was employed at Labatt Pharmaceutical until moving to Lamoni, Iowa in 1965 where she worked at Graceland College until relocating back to London in 1986. Music was a very significant part of Mildred’s life: in fact, all of her siblings were musical. She played piano and organ at Community of Christ Church (formerly RLDS, Maitland Street) and was a member of the London Promenade Orchestra for many years until losing her vision in 1998. Growing up with 7 brothers, it’s a given that Mildred was an excellent skater, swimmer and baseball player. She enjoyed watching golf on TV while knitting lots of sweaters, vests and afghans for her children and grandchildren. Mildred was close to her grandchildren and like a second grandmother to her great-grandchildren. She was a sweet person with a great sense of humour. What a combination! A very special thank you to Dr. Toth and to all the great Terrace Lodge ladies who are very special people. A private family graveside interment was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be conducted at COMMUNITY OF CHRIST CHURCH, 1550 Brydges Street, London on Friday, February 7th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Donations in Mildred’s memory to your charity of choice will be greatly appreciated.

I would like to offer my sympathy for the loss of Aunt Mildred. I have vivid memories of her when our family visited your family in Lamoni. I always loved those trips. I adored Mildred, and loved seeing her in Graceland's commons when I attended Sports Spectacular. She was always so kind and sweet. I so wish that there had not been so many miles that separated our families because I would have loved to have spent time with her. My thoughts are with the entire family as you all suffer the loss of an adorable woman. Ladelle Quirarte (White)

Very sorry to hear of the passing of my Aunt Mildred. her husband Lorne, was my Father's (Max's) brother. Many many fond memories of our visits with Aunt Mildred and uncle Lorne back in the days when they lived in Lamoni. She was always so sweet and funny. My sympathy to the family whom I afraid we have lost contact with over the years. With sympathy, Wendy White
