Peacefully on Tuesday, November 15th, 2011 at University Hospital, Eleanor went home to be with her Lord while surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by her husband Rev. William Francis Gillam (2003). Beloved mother of Ann Pierce and her husband Michael, and Lynne Paul and her husband Daniel. Cherished grandmother of Jillian Pierce, Timothy and Benjamin Robillard. Eleanor is survived by her brother Kenneth (Betty) McFarlan of Kincardine and sister Shirley Beemer (late husband Jack) of London. Predeceased by Orland McFarlan, Muriel Jeans (late husband George) and Audrey McFarlan. Loved and remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Royal View Church, 218 Clarke Road, London, on Friday, November 18th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment, Mount Brydges Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated staff at University Hospital. We're so sorry to hear about your Mom going home today but know by what's she's left behind that she had a great impact on this world. She always had a smile and a willingness to keep on going despite her many setbacks. While she'll be missed, her contagiously positive attitude lives on in her Children and Grandchildren. Dear Lynne, Dan & Ben, I am sorry for your saddness at this time and for your loss. What wonderful promises we have from God, that this life is only a vapor and we are all getting ready for that eternal home with Him!!
