I had the opportunity to work with Mike for a short period of time. He was a wonderful mentor. He was so proud of his daughters and his eyes would fill with sparkle when he spoke of them. Chrissy he was crazy about you and I recall our evening spent at Buddy Guy this past April - the next day Mike was full of life and he truly enjoyed the concert. Take his love and strength with you all.

Being a backcatcher for a couple teams over the last number of years I clearly remember joking around many times with Mike. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Elanor, Steve & Mark, our thoughts and sympathies are with you at this sad time, especially to Mike's fiance and children. It has been some time since we have seen Mike, but our hearts are still heavy (cousins of Mike').

On behalf of the Dorchester Ringette Association, we would like to express our deep sadness of hearing of the news of Mike's passing. I had the honour of knowing Mike for 20+ years now first through baseball and the last 15 years working with him. He was an amazing colleague and friend and my deepest thoughts and prayers are with Meghan, Melissa and Chrissy during this time. May you always feel his arms around you with the love he had for all of you. I will forever be grateful to have known Mike and I will always remember our chats. Rest in the sweetest peace Mike until we all meet again.

Chrissy, Meghan, Melissa and the rest of the extended family. We try our best to say goodbye and remember the man for what he was. He was pillar of strength, perhaps the man I knew with the most integrity. We know it was hard for him to relax but I am honoured to have known him as a friend. Few knew how generous he was or how happy he could be. Definitely a very proud father and a loving man. Bye G, we miss you.

Our hearts are incredibly heavy and sad as we try to comprehend the sudden passing of Mike, SPO Zone Director, Umpire and friend to us all. I was privileged to have coached with Mike for a number of years and his love of sport and efforts to inspire young athletes were always on display. For those who knew him, cherish the memories and always " believe " things are possible.
