Mike, I will always remember your wonderful smile and joyful spirit. I would bring my grandson, Ferris, into to see Grandpa, J.D. MacRae, who worked in tool rental. You entertained Ferris while on the forklife, he loved forklifts, as you beeped the horn and waved at him. You are now with my husband at some far away Home Depot in Heaven. J. D. died April 8/11 and I remember seeing you come to see my husband and I when we came in to H. D. a little while before he died. Your gift of life and joy is missed and will never be forgotten. Love you Mike

Dear Lorna and Richard, I just heard the news today of the passing of your sweet son. I only wish I would have known sooner so I could have attended his funeral service. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

As a man who has travelled all over the world and experienced interactions with different cultures and people... I can honestly say without a doubt Michael had the hugest impact on me for being such a young man. My kids loved his sense of humor, especailly his laughter, when they met him at kid's workshop. God had certainly broke the mold when He made Michael. He's one-of-kind!! There will be a huge whole in this world without Michael in it and we'll truly miss him, and his laughter, in our lives and he will not be forgotten by me or my family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family in this time of great sorrow, and loss. May God comfort you all in this time. God Bless. Jeff

Dear Lorna & Richard, Marc, Patrick and family, I am so very sad to hear of the passing of your very dear son & brother, Michael. I know you are all so proud of him and that he will always be in your hearts and you in his. I can only believe that God has a special purpose for Michael and that he is now smiling down on us from heaven. I will never forget the stories Richard would share with us at work about 'my boys' with such pride. May your memories bring warmth to your hearts and smiles to your lips and comfort you in the days to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God hold Michael in his arms and hug him tight. Dear Lorna & Richard, Being a mother of three to which one of my boys shares the same name as your dear son, I can’t even imagine. I didn’t know Michael but knowing his parents I can appreciate he was a very special person. They say that we all serve a purpose and I bet Michael’s purpose is to remind us all how wonderful life is and enjoy all it has to offer. The definition of the name Michael is “God Like” and I’m sure he was just that. On behalf of all of your friends at CWT, God bless all of you and peace be with Michael Karen Salviato

Richard and Lorna, please accept our sincerest condolences with the passing of your son, Mike. We thought of the following passage in the Bible's New Living Translation in Psalm 116, verses 15-16, as we reflected on how the Lord has now released Michael from the bondage of illness: "The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die. O Lord, I am your servant; yes, I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains." Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. --Steve and Dorothy, Juliet, Jonelle and Esther.

You brought laughter light and love to the world and all who knew you. You made it so easy to love you and thus that much harder to let go. Aidan still asks for big Mike and its so hard to explain why you aren't here anymore, especially when we don't understand it ourselves. We were so blessed to have you as part of our family and to be so easily accepted into yours. You are one of the best examples of a good man we could give to our sons and we are forever grateful for your time with them. Farewell dear friend, heaven has gained a truly brilliant angel. May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the rain fall soft upon your fields The sun shine warm upon your face and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hands. All our love Oscar, Alana, Aidan and Dominic

As a student of religious studies, I have come to realize that life is short and life goes on in another dimension. Mike will continue to be with the Lord and in our thoughts and minds. He was an exceptional human being. I got to know that by talking to him in the gym at the Athletic Centre and at HD where I once worked also. May God give him a heavenly welcome . With my condolenses to his dear family and friends which are many. Truly and Sincerely Mel

I cannot express how deeply saddened I am by Mike's passing. He was truly a remarkable person and well loved. As a co worker, he was a great person to work with. Always with a big smile on his face and ready to crack jokes. Michael will be missed by all who knew and loved him. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

Lorna and Family, I'm deeply saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I had never met him, but Lorna, you and I talked about him from the time he entered the hospital. There is nothing on the face of this earth that could prepare you for this. We've always been under the impression that our children are supposed to bury us, but that's not the case and as such it is very hard to accept. Rest assured that you will see him again, because God has him in his keeping. You are all in my prayers during this most difficult time, and may you have the strenth to carry on. Geraldine Haughton.

Richard & Lorna, My deepest condolences for the loss of your son. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you remember the greatest memories and happiness you shared as a family and know that he will always be around you and forever in your hearts. Hugs Nadia

I am so happy that I had the pleasure of knowing and working with you. Your smiling face and your laugh brightened up the room and my day, you just had to smile and laugh with you. I loved how you looked at everything in life positively. Everyone that talked to you said what a kind, good mannered young man you are and after watching you I have to agree with all of them. I am so sad that you had to leave us and I will miss asking you hows mom and dad every other day. I loved the fact that even though I asked twice a week you still passed the message on to them with care. I don't understand why you had to go, but I am sure God has big plans for you and needs your smile and laughter and kindness with him in heaven. I will remember and miss and love you always. My love and prayers are always with you and Richard, Lorna and Mark.
