Sincere condolences to the Gormley family, i've fond memories of Michael, God bless...
My deepest condolences to all the Gormley family. I came across Michael's obit this morning while looking for another. I use to babysit Michael, Mark and Cheryl many years ago. I still remember making a chocolate "Instant Breakfast " for Michael every morning before mom came home from work at St. Mary's Hospital where she worked with my mom. Michael always seemed to be so happy. It is very difficult to lose a loved one but I hope you find solace in your memories of him.
Mark, Cheryl and family. We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your loving brother Mike. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs Lawrence and Mary
I'm so sorry for your loss Joan. Although I've been a neighbour to you and to Mark and Denise for many years - I didn't know Mike , but reading all the loving tributes to him - he must have been very special indeed. Love and condolences to all.
Dear Joan: My deepest condolences to you and your family in the passing of your son. My prayers are with you. Josie
Sincere condolences to all of the family. I first met Michael when he attended a bus trip to protest at Queens Park over closing the ODSP office in St Thomas. I would regularly see him around town and was always happy to see him participate at Special Olympics' swimming.
Mike will be deeply missed by our family, and the Hagerty family. You were an inspiration of kindness always a warm smile to brighten our day. Rest in peace Mike. M thoughts go out to all the family and man many friends Mike has.
On behalf of Dr. Gregory, Joan, Jean & myself we extend our deepest sympathy to Mike's family. We will all miss him here in our office. It was always a pleasure to interact with Mike as well as witness him interact with other patients in our waiting room. He knew absolutely everyone in St. Thomas & everyone knew him. I personally will miss seeing him at the arena. I don't think he missed too many St. Thomas Stars games. R.I.P. Mike. You were loved dearly & will be missed by many.
So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. Remember picking him up and taking him and our son weekly to swimming. He would have us all laughing and talking on the short trip there and back. Will miss that big smile Mikey. Rest in Peace-God Bless
I offer my deepest condolences to you all - Joan, Mark, Cheryl and family - on the passing of Mike. Although I've known Mike for about 30 years, it's only been in the last few years that we've really spent time together and shared stories of our lives. What a life he's lived! Thank you for sharing stories of his time growing up, and some of his experiences throughout his life. I hold Mike in the highest regard and I will carry memories of him, his stories, his smiles and his laugh with me. I am so glad to have known him.
Michael was one of my athletes when I worked at Midwestern Regional Centre. Mike was a floor hockey player with an unmatched determination. What he lacked in mobility, he made up for in tenaciousness. I was also Mike Scoutmaster at MRC and along with meetings, games and trips, he did cross country skiing, movie nights, sports banquets, exercise clubs and bowling. He was a regitered athlete with Special Olympics and always enjoyed the competitions. When I worked in St. Thomas, it was great to see Mike gainfully employed with EACL and we saw each other many times while I was there. I am saddened by his loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike's family, friends and CLE clients and staff. Gormley ---I thank you for your friendship since the late 80's and patience with me in understanding you at times. Your laugh and smile will stay with me forever. I hope you know how many lives you have touched:) I recall teaching you and Albert sign language at Queen's St, you were very quick to learn and proud when you were able to use your sign. Mike--I am so glad you passed away in peace and take care of yourself my friend!
Michael has been a part of our church fabric for as long as I can remember.l It will feel strange to see the empty pew where he sat every Sunday but now that he has discarded his old body he can run and even play hockey instead of just watching it. He has been an inspiration to all he touched.
I known Mike ever since grade school he use to ride city buses every day he always talk to any pretty girl he was a sweet boy then and when I seen him on Talbot Street in st Thomas or in dr Gregory office he was still talking to pretty ladies he will b really missed god bless your family u had a beautiful son rest in peace Mikey
Yes Michael, there is Rock and Roll in Heaven. Sit back and enjoy it. You will be dearly missed here on Wellington St. We will miss you pal. Love from Karen, Mike, and Owen.
Mikey...I will miss you like crazy! I met Mike 23 years ago. He was an inspiration to all he met and a ray of sunshine on the darkest days. He would ride the bus to my school everyday to take the bus back home with me. He followed my working path showing up at McDonalds and Kelsey's daily just to see me. I remember many times him coming to my house in the pouring rain just to say hi! Up until this day he never forgot a birthday card, Easter card, Christmas card or Mother's Day card....he would even send them to my family addressed "Shannon's Mom". He truly made me feel so special and important in his life. I will never forget my memories I have with him or the impact he had on my life journey! RIP sweet Mikey.....you are missed already.
I was in Michaels life for well over 18 years....I was his worker at Elgin County Community Living.....when Michael left this world, he took a piece of my heart with him.....I have many, many memories that I could share....RIP my dear friend and one day at heavens door we will meet again....Until then I will miss you immensely.....Continue to give everyone that beautiful smile and your contagious laughter....God Bless Michael

Michael was a favorite patient of mine for many years. His warm smile and outgoing attitude enriched the life of me and especially my office staff. He will be greatly missed by anyone who was touched by his stamina and zest for living with infirmity. Be at peace, my friend. Dr. Sandy
