Mel, you were always chatty and social, always interested in other people stories and lives. We had many great conversations in when I first started at work and through these last 5 years. You loved your daughter so much.. always wanted to give her the best cakes for her birthdays. It was an honour to see her smile this past year! You will be missed by all of us and the families of the nicu xo
I was sad to wake up this morning to the news of Melaine passing. I worked with both her and William many years ago and periodically kept in touch with Melaine through out the years when she had the itch to move again. My thoughts go out to William and Nicole and her entire family.
Bill and Nicole, My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mel. I hope you can find comfort in knowing others are thinking of you and Nicole and sharing your sorrow. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that Mel's pain and suffering is no longer.
I am so sorry for your loss. Mel was an amazing woman. Because of her I was able to take my son home. Even though she worked full time at the nicu she signed up for von when there wasn't enough home care for me to take my son Josh home. We spent many nights over those years visiting, always so kind, and I could sleep well knowing she was there to care for Josh. The world has lost a beautiful soul.
Bill & Nicole, our hearts go out to you both. Our hearts break along with yours. Melanie was a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. Sending all our love.

I worked with Melanie many years ago in the NICU - I will remember Melanie as a wonderfully caring nurse, who cherished the little ones, who always had a lovely smile and a laugh to make the tough times more manageable. My sincere condolences for her family as the world has lost a lovely woman. With best regards, Deb Miller

I am shocked at hearing of Melanie's passing....She was my preemie daughter-Abbey LeBlanc's primary nurse when Abbey was born back in2001.She gave me tons of confidence and capability and told me I could do it....we had many many late night discussions and she was a very funny kind person....I tried to keep in touch with her once Abbey was sent home to Sarnia and it worked for awhile...I am so so sorry for your loss...The world has lost a wonderful nurse and Heaven has gained an angel.

Sending hugs and prayers to Mel's family and friends. She will be missed by so many. Great memories I have of Mel after working with her for 25 years in the NICU. She could out talk me and even out snore me. Many many years ago I taught Mel how to budget and she was always proud to tell me that she was still doing it the way I showed her. She was always so proud of her beautiful daughter Nicole. XOXO
Bill and Nicole, Our love to you both. We have no words to adequately express our sadness at the loss of such a generous soul. The world is a much poorer place today. Wendy and Vance

Dear Bill and Nicole, We hold you in our hearts as you suffer the deep loss of your precious wife and mother. Melanie was and is a great person who had a heart of gold, full of kindness and compassion. She was steadfast and loyal and had such strength and integrity of character . Always willing to offer a helping hand and go the extra mile even when she wasn't feeling well. She was generous and gracious and always looked for the best in others. She loved you both so much and, Nicole, you were her life. She was so proud of your accomplishments at school and was thrilled with how beautifully you have learned to play the piano. She was happy that you are such a sweet, kind young lady with such self discipline and motivation. Most of all she loved being your Mom. May the loving memories you both hold of her sustain you through the coming days and may you feel the love and support of friends and family around you. Much love, Marcia, Chris, Angelina, Christalina & Demetria Havaris
