Dear Don, Sonia, Melissa, Jennifer and others from the Cochran family: We are so sorry to learn of the passing of your wonderful son Matt. As neighbour’s from years back, Matt was a great influence on our children growing up on Beech mount. We never worried about the safety of our 3 children when Matt was around. He was such a great kid growing up and even though we lost touch it sounds like he grew up to be a great young man. We will keep you in our prayers. Elden, Brigitte, Marc, Chantal and David

Don, Sonia, Melissa, Jason, Jen, Brad, Andrew, Stacy and Benjamin: We can't find words to say how sorry we are. Matt was a fine man, a great relative and a great uncle to our grandchidren, and from the many messages a true friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dear Family of Matt. I met Matt on LAMC in 2007 when I had bought my first mustang. I posted some of the difficulties I was having with getting my car running. Matt being who Matt was, he was the first in line to help. We became fast friends and he was so helpful on many other occasions. My heart pours out for all of you, as we too lost a child in 2011 to cancer. The hurt .....you just can't measure it... Please except our most humble and heart felt condolences on your tragic lost. We have been and will continue to pray for your family, that GOD will comfort you throughout this time. God Bless :) The Armstrongs.
Dear Anne and John: On behalf of the entire Amway family, we express our sincere condolences to you, Ashley and Matt's family on this tragic event. May you find comfort in your memories in the difficult days ahead. Sincerely, Grant

To the entire Cochran Family: There are not many people in this world that are so special you can remember the first time you met them. We were at Circle R for a day of horse riding and within minutes Matt had hoisted our son up on his shoulders, laughing and smiling! Many more good times and great memories were made. He was a kind and generous young man. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Don,Sonia, Melissa, Jason, Jen and Brad Words can not express how truely sorry we are to hear of the passing of your son, brother and uncle. All of you will be in our thaughts and prayers during this very difficult time. God must of needed an angel, God bless.
Dear Don, Sonia, Melissa and Jennifer and other members of the Cochran family: I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Matt. In our youth, Matt and I spent most of our free time together on my front porch learning to read together, learning how to whistle and getting "married" (Melissa was the pastor, Jennifer the flower girl). My heart is deeply heavy with his loss. I ran into Matt at Williams a few years ago and although we hadn't seen each other in over 10 years, we recognized each other immediatly and reminisced about our old times growing up on Garland Lane.. He was there with his nephew and he was so happy. From early on Matthew was a great person...curious, energetic and kind with a zany sense of humour and a soft spot for his sisters. He will be missed.

Dear Sonia and family. You have been in my thoughts all week. I know that time is a great healer. I am so sorry for your loss.
I wish there were words that all of us could say to take the pain away that I can only imagine you are all feeling. My heart breaks for you all and I can only hope that you find comfort in knowing that Matt touched more lives than all of us know. He was such a kind and gentle person, always the first to offer up anything he had if it would help even a stranger. I pray that each of you hold strong to the amazing memories that you have and that they may be of some help as you go through this tough time. I am so sorry for your loss!
