Peacefully at University Hospital, on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018, with family by his side, Mr. Matheus “Thys” Drost of London in his 87th year. Beloved husband of 60 years to Maria (De Lange). Loving Pa and true inspiration to Dirk (Annemarie) of the Netherlands and Ellen (Hilko) of Mossley. Amazing Opa to Rochelle (Matt), Stijn, Maartje, John and Matthew. Dear brother of Jeanne De Otter of Spain, Dirk (Marianne) Drost of Georgia, Mary (Peter) De Groot of Georgia, Justina (Hans) Drost of the Netherlands, Thea Drost of Australia and the late Johan. Brother-in-law to Gerry, Cis and Mia. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, July 9th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment of ashes at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Matheus are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.

Dear Riet, Ellen, Dirk and families, from the Netherlands whe like to send or condolences. Mijn vader Reinier Meijer (broer van Tony Intzandt) en mijn moeder Agnes Meijer, hebben het altijd erg gezellig gehad, als ze met vakantie waren in Canada. En dan samen met jullie allen (tony & Herm) Riet en Thijs dagjes weg gingen naar bijvoorbeeld the USA of gewoon naar the Dutchclub, of kaarten op Wonderlandroad. Riet en kinderen, heel veel sterkte gewenst met dit grote verlies namens : Agnes Meijer, en Willem en Brenda Gietelink - Meijer.

Dear Reit, Ellen, Dirk and families. It is with sadness that I wish to extend my condolences on Thys' passing. For as long as I have known Thys, he was always a gentle and caring man. He was a dear friend to my mom and dad and I know they truly enjoyed the times they spent together whether at the Dutch Club or at their homes playing cards. Unfortunately Michelle and I will not be able to attend tomorrow, but please know you are in our thoughts during this difficult time. The Intzandts ( Mike, Michelle, Brittany and Zachary )
