Paul, Joan and family, Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your wonderful mother Dorothy. I remember her fondly from our Stoneybrook Crescent days many years ago. She was truly a class act and a beautiful woman inside and out. Our mother's became good friends over the years as well as great travel mates. Dorothy and my mother Marilyn enjoyed many exciting trips together and they also spent several years winter vacationing in Sarasota Florida. They celebrated many milestones over the years and delighted in sharing stories about their family with each other. I remember that they also shared a passion for dining out and for shopping. It's always tough to lose your parent.... no matter the age. Please know that I will keep you in my prayers as you mourn the loss of your dear mother. Sincerely, Linda (Tew) Mara

Dear Paul I have not seen you since a brief encounter at St Michael's church The year my childhood friend, Mike Hughes died and I appreciated your comments about his funeral as I had lost touch after moving to Toronto to teach. It is wonderful that your mother lived to 102 as they have such wisdom and love to impart. My mom died in 2016 of natural causes at 103, still living in her home on Chalmers Street. Anyway as a elementary classmate, Paul, I remember you well and I think you won the city wide public speaking contest. Personally, You had a great voice but the glasses were a forceful contribution. Please accept condolences for losing someone so dear. Carol Carpenter Twine
